Turkish Bread Sub

Feeding a few? This hearty steak sub is guaranteed to hit the spot and have mouths watering before it even reaches the table.



1 Large Turkish Bread
1 large rump steak
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
250g caramelised onions
150g cheddar cheese
4 handfuls of Rocket
4 tomatoes, sliced
½ cup Dijon Mustard


    1. Step 1

      Marinate steak in oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and minced garlic for at least 2 hrs

    2. Step 2

      Cook steak to medium rare, rest

    3. Step 3

      Slice steak into thin strips

    4. Step 4

      Half Turkish bread horizontally and spread bottom half with mustard

    5. Step 5

      Layer with steak, onions, cheese, tomatoes, rocket and top with other half of the Turkish bread
