Turkish Pizzas

1 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, chopped
400g tin crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
3 tsp sumac
2 tsp paprika
400g lamb mince
2 lemons
1 cup tahini
1/4 cup Greek yoghurt
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tbsp pine nuts, toasted


    1. Step 1

      Preheat a grill to high.

    2. Step 2

      Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add garlic and lamb mince and cook, stirring, until lamb is browned. Add tin tomatoes and cook for 15 minutes or until liquid is slightly reduced.

    3. Step 3

      Add tomato paste, sumac, paprika and chilli and the juice of half a lemon, season with salt and pepper. Stir for 1 minute, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.

    4. Step 4

      Meanwhile, carefully cut the loaf in half horizontally, and toast under a hot grill until lightly brown.

    5. Step 5

      Mix tahini and lemon juice of a lemon, a bowl to combine, and season. Spread the pizza bases with the tahini lemon mixture.

    6. Step 6

      Top each pizza base with the lamb mince mixture, drizzle with yoghurt, and top with pine nuts and parsley. Serve immediately with lemon.
